Partner: Power TakeOff
This project tests whether more granular usage data provided in real time can result in deeper energy savings for virtual commissioning projects.
Overview
The Power TakeOff Virtual Commissioning (VCx) offer remotely identifies and verifies operational improvements for commercial and public sector customers using 30-minute near-real-time Advanced Meter Infrastructure (AMI) usage data. ComEd is partnering with Chicago Public Schools to test the effectiveness of using one-minute AMI data in real time for identifying deeper energy savings and broadening the range of buildings on which VCx can be performed. Site selection was conducted to capture locations with a wide range of characteristics to yield results applicable to many other commercial and public sector customers.
